WB Tourism plans development of Mountain Tourism in the state

West Bengal Tourism, in consultation with Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council (DGHC) and other government departments, plans to develop Mountain Tourism along with updating tourism products available in the Northern part of the state. The West Bengal Tourism Department has already identified the districts and areas for the implementation of the development programme. They have also chalked out plans to complete the projects in phases. The places which have been selected for infrastructure and destination development are Darjeeling, Kurseong, Mirik, Kalimpong, Sandakphu, Mungpu, Lava, Phalut and Ghoom.
